Best Value Joola Pickleball Paddle: Joola Vision Review

Since the GOAT signed with Joola, the Joola line of pickleball paddles took the world by storm. With 8 current series on their lineup, which is the best-value Joola pickleball paddle? In our experience, it is easily the Joola Vision CGS pickleball paddle. Let’s go over what to expect.

Best Value Joola Pickleball Paddle: Joola Vision Review

How Much Is The Joola Vision Pickleball Paddle?

First, for a paddle to be of “good value”, the cost plus performance has to be a good deal. In the past, it was hard to find a Joola pickleball paddle for less than $200. So the Joola Vision CGS is more reasonable than the Joola Hyperion series, Solaire, or Radius lines.

But here is the trick, if you’re in a pickleball community, look for a Joola representative. You will be able to snag the Joola Vision CGS for $130, inclusive of taxes! Of course, Amazon and other retailers have sales and coupons throughout different holidays in the year. So you can still get a good deal if you shop around and are patient to look out for a sale.

What To Expect From The Joola Vision CGS

The Joola Vision CGS comes in 14mm or 16mm like most of their lineup. It has a carbon grip surface for creating spin like almost all carbon surface paddles on the market. It has what Joola calls a “response honeycomb” core. What does that mean? It means the paddle face is a lot softer, absorbing more of each shot than something like the Joola Hyperion CFS series, for example.

The Joola Vision CGS is great for blocking drives since it will absorb that force. The paddle face is meant to reduce vibration. It is also a lot less “poppy” than other carbon paddles like the CRBN 1X Power Series Pickleball paddle. That means the Joola Vision CGS is better for resets, dinks, drops, and general control.

Even though it has a carbon-textured surface, the Joola Vision CGS is not a power paddle. You will not have that pop that you would with a power paddle like the Joola Hyperion CFS, CRBN 1X Power, or Selkirk Vanguard Power Air. Don’t be surprised if your drives or overheads don’t translate as they would with a power paddle.

If you’re playing singles, you may be better off with the Joola Hyperion CFS and switch to the Joola Vision CGS for doubles. Even the pros like Ben Johns or JW Johnson that play both singles and doubles switched paddles for both events in the past.

All in all, the Joola Vision CGS is the best package in the Joola pickleball paddle family when it comes to spin, control, and price. Especially when it comes to playing doubles. As with any new paddle though, it is important to drill with it to hone in on your touch with the paddle.

Joola Pickleball Paddle Warranty

Like any other equipment, sometimes a pickleball fails due to flaws in the manufacturing process. You may get a bad batch of paddles with the corners peeling or the handles breaking off the face of the paddle. That could be the case with any paddle brand. What is Joola’s warranty on their pickleball paddles?

According to Joola’s website,

JOOLA warrants the paddles to be free from major defects in workmanship and materials when used for the intended purpose under normal use and conditions FOR A PERIOD OF 6 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF RECEIPT ON ORIGINAL PURCHASE* in the United States and Canada.

You just have to make sure that you register your paddle within 14 days of purchase.
